The law is on the hunt for Mesa County’s notorious bad girl Tina Peters, who violated the terms of her bail bond by traveling to Nevada and now faces arrest and going back to jail.

How did the court know Peters was in Nevada?

First there was this:

Then Peters kind of rubbed everyone’s face in it with this:

The judge is plenty pissed, so back to jail she goes.

From Colorado Politics on Mesa County’s District Attorney Dan Rubinstein’s actions:

In a motion filed with the court on July 11, Rubenstein’s office said Peters was granted limited authority to travel, including out of state, while she was a candidate for secretary of state. Since she is no longer a candidate for that office, “Peters needs to be treated like all other criminal defendants on bond and needs to file a motion asking for a modification of her bond conditions, and get permission from the court prior to traveling.”

The notice also claimed Peters had “evidenced through her travel prior to the election that she has the means to flee if she wants to.”

Once Peters is back in custody, the judge will hold a hearing on her actions and likely reconsider her bail bond and terms.

PeakNation™ will recall that Peters is up to her ass in alligators and allegations that she’s committed all kinds of crimes in her quest to prove that our elections are not secure, and that Secretary of State Jena Griswold is evil incarnate.

Peters recently lost her bid to be the GOP nominee to take on Griswold in the November election. While most Republicans also question Peters’ ability to run our elections, most are in agreement with her sentiments regarding Griswold.
