Is the Washington Democrat establishment abandoning hope of winning Colorado’s new 8th congressional district and instead throwing their last-minute support and finances to keep the 7th district in the Democrat column?

It sure looks like the House Majority PAC got some bad polling news.

How else to explain this sudden drop of nearly $340,000 on TV ads with only five voting days left to shore up state Sen. Brittany Pettersen’s campaign for the 7th district by trashing her opponent?

This brings their total spending on the progressive Democrat’s race to more than $680,000 reports Complete Colorado.

“If national Democrats were confident in Brittany Pettersen’s numbers, they would not be dumping $339K of negative ads against Aadland into this race this late, especially when they have so many incumbents they are trying to save around the country,” (Dick) Wadhams told Complete Colorado.

This was supposed to be a Democrat safe space where Biden won by 14 points, and yet:

Republican veteran Erik Aadland’s message about Pettersen’s extreme approach to fentanyl abuse must be resonating with voters.

This explains it:

“Democrats are super nervous because they know they are losing in Colorado. Our candidates have the momentum and energy,” said State Republican Party press secretary Joe Jackson in a media release mentioning the closing hour PAC spending.  “More far-left money from Washington DC isn’t going to save these Democrats.”
