Thanks to Gov. Polis’s campaign stunt to win our votes with our own TABOR refunds last year, the IRS has us in its crosshairs and is plotting to tax our tax refund for the first time.

That’s because Polis and the Democrat-controlled legislature, which also campaigned on the gimmick, redistributed our regular TABOR refund in the form of cash to all taxpayers, whether they actually paid the taxes or not.

Before it was politicized by the Dems, the money was distributed in the form of a sales tax refund specifically so the IRS would not subject it to federal income taxes.

Now the IRS is telling Coloradans to hold off on filing their income taxes until they determine whether Polis’s Cash Back scheme is subject to income tax.

Polis’s bribe for Coloradans’ votes will now end up costing each of us upwards of $150 to $450.

Thanks a lot, assh@t.
