The calculated release of just two minutes of a five-hour closed door meeting of the Denver Public School board in the wake of the March shooting shows just how spineless many behaved including would-be hero Auon’tai “Tay” Anderson.

A court challenge by the media forcing the release of the secret meeting video has been ignored by the school board for months, yet on Friday they voted to release it to the public.

But Anderson beat them to the proverbial news cycle punch by releasing a snippet of the video over the weekend he thinks shows everyone in a bad light, except himself, and it looks like the media took the bait.

But listen to the audio and judge for yourself while ask some of these important questions:

Did anyone in the room bother to even check with the mayor if he made such a threat? (Spoiler alert: Hancock denied it)

And wasn’t their attorney present to advise the threat was  unlikely to stand up in court?

Surely a mayor doesn’t have the power to override the authority of another governing agency and force police into their buildings without a court order.

And what about Big Pussy crying that his hands were tied so he was just going to take his ball and go home, only to later bitch about it to the media?

What Anderson basically babbled is this cop out:

“In my opinion, the mayor needs to just go ahead and just take that control, because regardless of what we do, and it’s not going to be putting cops in schools, then it’s, we’re gonna get them anyways. So it feels like having this part of this conversation is moot because the decisions already been made without the duly elected school board.”

It’s dumbfounding that Superintendent Alex Marrero, who is employed at the will of the duly elected school board, just threatened his bosses that overriding him would be terminal.

And they fell for it and voted unanimously to do as he says.

Marrero says Mayor Hancock threatened to treat the shooting incident the same as a worldwide pandemic, in which the mayor forced employees to get immunized.

No one bothered to ask how a forced immunization policy could possible translate to cops in buildings without a search warrant like a bunch of Nazi Brown Shirts?

And what sanctions?

Claiming the mayor would hit the school board with “sanctions” as if they were some Russian oligarch responsible for the war in Ukraine, it’s all so absurd.

Anderson would have us judge the five hour meeting on this two minutes of video he preselected, but we would urge parents to wait and view the whole video before concluding the school board and superintendent are really this stupid.
