Colorado’s congressional Democrats just now discovered the impact of Biden’s open border crisis on Denver so now they’re demanding FEMA fund new migrant shelters in the state’s rural areas to ease big city burdens.
Sure, it sounds like a wild conspiracy theory. And yet folks like U.S. Mike Bennet and U.S. Rep. Jason Crow are bragging about their big ideas on social media.
Here’s the letter to FEMA they sent along with U.S. Sen. John Hickenlooper, and U.S. Reps. Diana DeGette, Joe Neguse, Brittany Pettersen and Yadira Caraveo.
Colorado has an influx of migrants, and our communities need increased support.

Not a single Democrat courting more money, more money, more money to set up this new constituency with our tax dollars is addressing the real problem — insisting on an orderly immigration system at the border instead of the Oprah system of asylum created by Biden where everyone who crashes the border wins housing, food, health care, and a job.
That is what’s unsustainable.
Denver mayor @MikeJohnstonCO says the quiet part loud: illegal immigrants don’t want to be Americans, they only want money and expect free handouts provided by taxpayer funding.

From The Colorado Sun:
The Colorado leaders urged FEMA to increase funding to the Shelter and Services Program next fiscal year, beginning in July, and to extend eligibility in the program to more cities and nonprofit organizations. They also asked for funding for technical assistance, particularly for rural areas that have never before had to set up migrant services.
“Your prompt attention to this matter is not just a response to a pressing need; it is essential to ensuring thousands of new arrivals facing harsh and unpredictable conditions have shelter and support throughout winter,” the letter states.
And so Democrats are now on the bandwagon with Biden insisting on billions more in taxpayer dollars to finish building this brave new Migrant Industrial Complex.
As Colorado continues to receive a significant influx of migrants, nonprofits and local communities at the forefront are in need of extra support.
Alongside my colleagues, I’m calling on @FEMA to help our state meet this challenge.https://t.co/XuxwNNfM3B
